Growth

• Lead effective change and openness in growth plans to support infrastructure and our community
• Ensure that Bastrop remains a prime place for smart and effective growth
• While encouraging growth, ensure the protection of our historic downtown and its unique character

Infrastructure

• Provide strong leadership on a multitude of major project to stay within budget and on schedule
• Implement Best Practices in construction and maintenance of the new water and wastewater plants
• Encourage and provide the leadership necessary to ensure that vital improvement projects such as road improvements and ambulance and fire services are world class

Quality of Life

• Implement a stronger Storm Water Management Pollution Prevention Plan to ensure the cleanliness of our lakes, rivers, and other water sources
• Ensure quality maintenance of the waterways to prevent silt and trash buildup
• Encourage responsible regulations for the construction of energy efficient homes and buildings
• Promote recreational facilities to maintain a healthy lifestyle for our citizens including but not limited to clean parks, nature trails and exercise opportunities

Economic & Fiscal Responsibility

• Encourage economic development through managing the city budget and protecting the citizens tax dollars from wasteful spending
• Work with The Bastrop Economic Development Corporation recruiting the right types of industry to Bastrop
• Continue to encourage and promote Bastrop as a destination for film and commercial production
• As your City Councilperson, I will continue to ensure that we attract the industries that will improve our economy and quality of life for all of Bastrop’s citizens.

Transparency

• The City is and should remain transparent in their decisions and communications during emergency situations
• Improvement of website and social media pages to inform local citizens of major events
• As your City Councilperson, I will be accessible to you and encourage continued openness and community involvement in the decision making for our city
